Congratulations to the 2021 Scholarship Winners
Amber Starr, Kailee Hagen and Jocelyn Decker won this year’s ACS Alumni Scholarships, an annually awarded scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per school year for four years. Amber is he daughter of James Starr and Kelly Shablom. She will be attending St. Bonaventure University and will be majoring in Secondary English Education. Kailee is the daughter of Nicholas and Olivia Hagen. Kailee will be attending Arizona State University. She will be majoring in Biology with a Pre-Med Track. Jocelyn is the daughter of David and Laura Decker and will be attending Stevenson University. Jocelyn will be majoring in Film/Moving Image.
Gabrielle Waugaman is this year’s recipient of the Miss Dorothy Karl Scholarship, a one-time payment scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Gabrielle is the daughter of Daniel and Erin Waugaman. Gabrielle plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh and major in School Speech Therapy.
Kayla Krzanak is the recipient of the Clem & Ida Martiny Scholarship., a one-time payment scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Kayla is the daughter of Denise Krzanak. She will be attending SUNY Fredonia majoring in Childhood Inclusive Education.

Annual Scholarship Available to Seniors at Allegany Limestone Central
A.C.S. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship was established in 1966 to give an Allegany-Limestone graduate a $1,000 award each year that he/she attends an accredited college or university. The recipients are chosen based on financial need, academic excellence, extracurricular activities, personal essay and two recommendations. The recipients must be a full-time Allegany-Limestone students. The award is $1,000.00 per year with a maximum of four (4) years. Only one family member can receive this scholarship.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please be aware that we do award (3) of the A.C.S. Alumni Association Scholarship ($4,000/each)
ACS ALUMNI CLEM & IDA MARTINY SCHOLARSHIP This $1,000.00 one time award was established in 2005 to be awarded to an Allegany-Limestone senior who is planning to attend an accredited college or university, pursuing a course of study in the field of education and will receive teacher certification. The recipient must be a full time student of Allegany-Limestone Central School. The choice is based on academic excellence, extra curricular activities and personal essay.
This scholarship was made possible by a bequest of Clem Martiny in honor of his wife Ida Mohr Martiny who was a teacher in the Allegany Central School system for 40 years.
THE DOROTHY T. KARL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This $1,000 scholarship has been established in honor of Miss Dorothy Karl by her family and members of the ACS Class of 1961. Miss Karl was a math teacher at Allegany Central School for 37 years. It will be awarded to a high school senior from Allegany-Limestone who is planning to attend an accredited college or university pursuing a course of study in the field of education and will receive teacher certification. The recipient will be a good student, one who works hard at both academic and personal pursuits, but doesn't necessarily have to be at the top of his or her class academically. In addition, this candidate should demonstrate an enduring commitment to qualities associated with exemplary character.
NOTE: Some of the above award amounts may vary. Amounts may be adjusted up or down, depending on the number of successful candidates for the award, the economy, or other financial considerations. Members of the Alumni Board will independently score each application, and then a composite score of the members will determine the successful candidates.
