Village and Town of Allegany Shared Services Study

In 2007 the Village and Town of Allegany were awarded a Shared Municipal Services Incentive Grant of $58,000.00 from New York Department of State, Division of Local Government to study potential impacts and the extent of efficiencies created by a possible dissolution and merger of the village. The Rochester-based consulting firm, Center for Governmental Research (CGR) gathered information to examine consolidation of services between the two municipalities in order to provide insight to the boards and citizens of the community.
