Allegany-Limestone Youth Football & Cheerleading
Allegany-Limestone Youth Football & Cheerleading is a member of the Cattaraugus County Midget Football League. Allegany-Limestone Youth Football and Cheerleading has been in existence for several years with the Allegany Engine Company being an active sponsor of the program. Currently Allegany – Limestone Youth Football & Cheerleading is able to provide this experience to children for no cost. This is possible through our continued support of our sponsors and fundraising efforts of the booster club. The youth football and cheerleading program is for children ages 8 – 13.
The football and cheerleading season begins on August 1st and runs through October depending on the playoff schedule.
The football teams typically practice 4 – 5 nights a week and games are usually scheduled for Sunday afternoons or Saturday nights. This schedule is determined by the CCMFL. The cheerleaders practice schedule is determined by the coaches and typically is at least 3 nights a week. The Midget cheerleaders participate in a cheerleading competition during the season.
Sign-ups for the youth football and cheerleader program are held twice a year, usually one day in June and one day in July. These dates are advertised in the Olean Times Herald, as well as fliers being sent home with children in the elementary and middle schools.
